Who we are

ScienceQuiz.org is operated by Metro Mystery LLC, of Houston, Texas (“we”). Charges appear on card statements as SCIENCEQUIZ.ORG.

Using the site

Much of ScienceQuiz.org is free for personal and classroom study, and some courses are part of the optional ScienceQuiz Pro subscription described below. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Accounts and kid profiles

An account is optional, and only an adult should create one. A parent or guardian can add up to four kid profiles to their account; children use a profile without an email address or password of their own, and the adult who owns the account is responsible for how it is used. If you create one, keep your password to yourself and give accurate information when you sign up. You are responsible for what happens under your account. A parent or guardian should create the account for a child under 13. We may suspend or remove an account that is being used to abuse the service or other people.

ScienceQuiz Pro subscriptions

• Who may buy. A subscription must be purchased by a parent, guardian, or other adult, not by a child.
• Price. $4.99 per month or $39 per year, in US dollars, plus any tax that applies. The price is shown before you pay.
• Renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price then in effect, until it is cancelled. If the price changes we will tell you before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
• Cancelling. Cancel anytime from Manage subscription on the ScienceQuiz Pro page. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
• Refunds. Payments are not refunded for a partly used period, except where the law requires it. If you were charged by mistake or something did not work, email support@sciencequiz.org within 14 days and we will put it right.
• Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and are also subject to Stripe’s terms. We never receive or store your card number.
• What Pro covers. Pro unlocks the courses marked Pro for the account that bought it, including every kid profile on that account (up to four). Free features stay free. Course content will change and grow over time.

Optional AI credits

Where available, Family AI includes Pro and a shared allowance of 300 text credits and 20 picture credits per month for $9.99 monthly or $59 annually, plus applicable tax. The monthly allowance resets and does not accumulate. Ordinary Pro and donated Pro do not include this AI allowance. A free account receives 10 text credits per calendar month. Creation costs are displayed before confirmation.

Available one-time packs add 50 credits for $2.99, 120 for $5.99, 300 for $12.99 or 800 for $29.99, plus applicable tax. Only configured packs appear for purchase. Purchased credits carry forward without expiry and do not require an ongoing AI subscription to use. Only an adult who confirms the account sign-in may buy credits. Credits appear after payment verification, not merely after a checkout return. There are no automatic top-ups or overage charges.

Creating material and requesting advisory AI feedback consume the credits shown before submission. Uploaded sources and audio can cost more than a text-only draft. Failed creations return the user credits reserved for that request. Scans of material that is not schoolwork can still consume credits because processing occurred. Cancellation refunds depend on the operation: an answer check that has already started cannot be cancelled. Deleting or discarding an already completed creation does not return its credits. Studying saved material or reusing saved pictures does not consume creation credits. Refunded or disputed purchases may lead to credits being removed and new credit use being paused pending review.

AI drafts and pictures can contain errors. Review facts, illustrations and answer keys before saving or sharing, and submit only material you have permission to use. The availability of AI creation depends on the provider and operating limits; purchasing is unavailable when AI creation has not been configured.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

• Attempt to break, overload, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its data.
• Scrape or bulk-copy the content for republication.
• Use the site to harass anyone or to distribute unlawful material.
• Misrepresent the site as your own, or resell access to it.

Content

The questions, explanations, illustrations, and software on this site belong to Metro Mystery LLC unless stated otherwise, and are provided for personal study. Teachers are welcome to use the site with their classes.

Word lists, element data, and other factual reference material are not claimed as ours. Where third-party material appears, it remains the property of its owner.

No guarantee

We work hard to keep the content accurate, but the site is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that it will be available without interruption, that it is free of errors, or that using it will produce any particular test score or academic result. ScienceQuiz.org is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the College Board, ERB, or any other testing organisation, and any test names are used only to describe what the material covers.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, ScienceQuiz.org and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the site, including lost progress or lost data.

Your progress

Progress kept in your browser can be lost if you clear your site data, and we cannot recover it. Account progress is backed up as part of ordinary operation, but we do not promise it can always be restored.

Changes and ending

We may change these terms, the features of the site, or stop offering it. If a change matters, we will update the date above. You may stop using the site at any time, and you may ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
